Furthermore, it is not known how older adults with impaired glucose metabolism or type 2 diabetes, respond to resistance exercise in comparison to healthy individuals. No less important is to gain knowledge on how benefits from resistance exercise can be sustained and possible predictors of adherence to resistance exercise during or after an intervention.&lt;br /&gt;&#xD;&#xA;&lt;br /&gt;&#xD;&#xA;The dissertation provides information as well as the possibilities for intervention and ways to promote healthy aging.
